In September 2002, Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory overall restructured its running type into shareholding system by name of Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd. Its main shareholders are Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co., Ltd. and Xiamen Light Industry Group Co., Ltd. At present, it has 2 wholly-owned subsidiaries, 1 holding subsidiary and 1 participating subsidiary.

The company is located in Xiamen light industry and food industry manufacturing zone, covers an area of 125000 m2, with its building area of 45000 m2 (include 35000 m2 plant area). The company has eight dosage forms of production lines on GMP, and has ability to produce nearly one hundred varieties of traditional famous and high-quality Chinese patent medicines of Fujian brand name products including BABAODAN capsule, XINHUANG tablet, SHENSHU granules, HAIZHUCHUANXIDING tablet. It has constructed the marketing network throughout the country and southeast Asia, as well as the parts of Europe and the United States, therefore, has successfully created brands such as Chinese well-known trademark, Fujian famous trademark and Fujian time-honored brand, etc. The company has two district level intangible cultural heritage projects, showing that its commercial value ever higher and social impact ever wider as a mature brand was.
